Pinetop 2011.03

Toby in time out on the front porch
Elk in the Meadow in Show Low

Toby's Chair
Jill and I spent a four day weekend in Pinetop last weekend. We did all the usual exciting things: Penny's clearance rack shopping, drives in the forest, watched "The Adjustment Bureau" at the theater, tried out a new Mexican Food restaraunt, read, laughed at Jill's usual antics, (Can you believe she lost her phone?), took walks in the forest with the dogs -well I did- and took life slowly. Jill took the truck and met friends for a pedicure while the boys (Dogs Toby and Payson) went for a long Jeep ride in the '63 Willys. I went to the cinder pit and shot, etc. We saw lots and lots of elk this trip including a herd that grazed by as we were sitting at the dinner table with Hub and Karrie. Toby took the opportunity to find the biggest Ponderosas every time I let him out to pee. Funny sight with a rat dog marking a 200 year old tree. Pinetop trips are always fun.

Mikayla and Nanny Jill doing laundry

Jill's relationship with our first grandchild, Mikayla, is an especially sweet and tender mercy to her.
